MacArthur 'genius' Fellow and Brown University professor, C.D. Wright, whom Dave Eggers once described as responsible for "writing some of the greatest poetry-cum-prose you can find in American literature," will be reading and answering questions about her work this Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Microsoft Auditorium in the Seattle Public Library's Central branch.
The event is free and sponsored by Wright's (and local Port Townsend) publishing house Copper Canyon Press, the Washington Center for the Book, the bookstore Open Books: A Poem Emporium and Bellevue's KUOW radio.
Here's a great article from last week's The Stranger on Wright's past and most recent work.
